A violin for me

From July 2020- May 2021 I am taking part in a year-long apprenticeship in violin-making. As part of this process I will be creating two violins- one for myself and one for my wife. This is no. 1 “in the white," which describes the state before varnish. At this stage the violin must be played (or vibrated) to train and transition the wood to resonate correctly. It finds its tone during this process, before finish is applied. Once this is achieved, I will be able to take the last steps to completion.
