Appalachian Mountain Banjo No.1

Project Details

My grandfather had a clock-repair shop that I grew up visiting. It is still one of my favorite places to be in to this day, even if only in my memory. On one visit there he gave me a piece of walnut that had been used as a shelf in his shop. I used it to make the neck of this banjo. Using material-tied-to-memory resulted in an instrument that I treasure and so enjoy playing.
