These non traditional hammers are used for adjusting the iron (blade) in traditional wooden body hand planes. They are cast in Silicon Bronze and have scorched ash handles.

This was the prototype for a “hand hand plane”. Cast out of solid aluminum from my hand, it holds a 1 1/4in iron with a mahogany wedge.
