These works deal with a reintroduction to social interactions after the last year and a half. Each of the three works in this small series expresses a container of the self.
“The outside of the inside” is a vulnerable shell, standing tall, half-stabilized and half-suspended. The chair serves as a container for the body. This one does not have arms and doesn’t have the tools to reach out. It is in a state of display and rising up, but not yet a safe place to reside. Although confident in its posture, it depends on its back legs reaching back to ground that it remembers.
