Instruments like these have been made for centuries with minimal tools. So I thought it would be great to teach a course on building a fretless octagon Kentucky banjo with as few basic tools as possible. This banjo is made only with a hand saw, coping saw, drill, a $4 reamer, and a file. This video course takes you step by step in making your own octagon banjo as I build one.
